Mark Lashier Addresses Future Growth for Chevron Phillips Chemical with Houston Business Journal

Chevron Phillips Chemical President and CEO Mark Lashier discussed with Houston Business Journal the business opportunities that have shaped company strategy in the last year and where he sees future growth potential. In an article titled, "A Year in, CP Chem's CEO Has Growth in Mind," the publication highlighted Lashier's career and leadership role as he celebrates his first anniversary leading the organization. The publication also highlighted the recent successful startup of Chevron Phillips Chemical's U.S. Gulf Coast Petrochemicals Project, which includes an ethane cracker at its Cedar Bayou plant in Baytown, Texas, and two polyethylene units in Old Ocean, Texas. Lashier explained the project followed the availability of low-price feedstock borne out of the U.S. shale revolution, among other strategic factors, and expressed optimism for continued growth in the region.

"The most compelling story today is the volumes of hydrocarbons coming out of (North America)," Lashier told the publication.
