Chevron Phillips Chemical names Mitch Eichelberger senior vice president, corporate planning & technology

Mitch Eichelberger, Senior Vice President, Corporate Planning & Technology
Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC (Chevron Phillips Chemical) today announced Mitch Eichelberger will become senior vice president, corporate planning and technology, effective June 1, 2019. Eichelberger replaces Dave Smith who will retire after 39 years of distinguished service with Chevron Phillips Chemical and Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX).
"Throughout his career, Dave's insight and commitment have set him apart as a strong leader in our company and industry," said Mark Lashier, president and CEO, Chevron Phillips Chemical. "This leadership has been invaluable, and the organization has benefited greatly from his drive to sustainably grow the company in his commercial and strategy roles."
Eichelberger, who currently serves as vice president, Qatar and chief operations officer of QChem, will have responsibility for the company's research and technology, corporate planning and development, and information technology functions. He has 37 years of service with Chevron Phillips Chemical and Chevron Corporation. He has served in various roles of increasing responsibility across the research and technology, manufacturing and commercial disciplines.
"Mitch's diverse background makes him the right person for this role, having experience in nearly every facet of our business," added Lashier. "His contributions as part of our senior leadership team will help ensure we continue to build on our strong legacy of innovation and growth."
Eichelberger will report to Lashier in his new role.
