Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC today announced the appointment of Darren Ercolani as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective Oct. 1. Ercolani will succeed Carolyn J. Burke, who has resigned from the company effective Sept. 30. He will continue to report to Bruce Chinn, president and CEO.

Ercolani, currently senior vice president, business transformation, has 30 years of industry experience and joined Chevron Phillips Chemical from Phillips Petroleum (now Phillips 66) at the inception of the company in 2000. He has held several commercial, corporate strategy, finance management and treasury functions at the domestic and international level, including general auditor, Asia-region controller and chief financial officer of the company’s Q-Chem joint venture in Qatar.

“I want to personally thank Carolyn for her contributions to CPChem’s success during her tenure here and wish her well in her future endeavors,” Chinn said. “Darren is a proven leader who champions innovation, and he will bring deep institutional knowledge, a strategic mindset and global perspective to his new role.”

Additionally, the company appointed Allison Martinez senior vice president, business transformation and chief information officer, also effective Oct. 1. Martinez, currently chief information officer, will report to Chinn and become a member of the company’s executive leadership team. In addition to continued oversight of the information technology department, she will have an expanded role leading efforts to innovate business operations through continuous improvement initiatives, culture evolution and championing a digital future. Martinez has more than 20 years of service with Chevron Phillips Chemical and has broad experience in information technology, commercial and supply chain.

“Allison has a strong track record of challenging the status quo and delivering effective technical solutions,” Chinn said. “Her diverse experience and demonstrated success driving complex projects make her an effective leader capable of advancing our innovation and improvement initiatives and digital transformation to deliver value.”
