On behalf of Shangri La Botanical Gardens and the Stark Foundation, we thank YOU! On Saturday, February 26th, we wrapped up another spectacular Community Trash-Off event! Thank you so much to all of our 352 volunteers and supporters who joined us and made a difference in our community. This event began 27 years ago, with a small group of our fellow citizens who were tired of seeing the trash fill our street sides and waterways. We continue these clean-up efforts today, with a mission to “Mentor Children of All Ages to Be Kind to Their World”. 💚 While we couldn’t have a successful Community Trash-Off without you, we also couldn’t have a successful Community Trash-Off without the local businesses and community leaders who support this event. This year’s Community Trash-Off was generously sponsored by INVISTA, and for that, we thank them. We also thank Granger Chevrolet for their continued litter pick-up support, and Gopher Industrial, Inc and Chevron Phillips Chemical for their help acquiring supplies. Last but not least, thank you to Dough Dough Girls for their tasty treats & Orange Grove Coffee House for waking up early to make 10 gallons of hot coffee on that very cold day!
