Because performance matters, polyethylene is the choice material for natural gas, propane, LPG and yard gas installations.
Performance Pipe has more than 50 years of polyethylene pipe manufacturing experience. To serve your needs, we have seven ISO 9001 certified manufacturing plants strategically located throughout the United States. Performance Pipe has three different product lines from which to choose, depending on your particular project requirements.
DriscoPlex® 6500 Series PE Piping
A medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) PE2708 solution that is solid yellow in color and an excellent choice for natural gas distribution systems, after meter applications, LPG/propane systems or systems operating at pressures less than 100 psi.
Yellowstripe® 8300 Series PE Piping
A high-density polyethylene (HDPE) PE4710/PE100 product that is black with four equally placed circumferential stripes. For applications where pressures up to 125 psi may be encountered, or where higher operating temperatures may be experienced, Yellowstripe® 8300 Series PE Piping is a great choice.
Blackstripe® 8400 Series PE Piping
The latest option in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) PE 4710 gas distribution piping is yellow with three black stripes spaced around the circumference of the pipe. This product offers the exceptionally high performance of PE 4710 pipes in gas applications where pressures are up to 125 psi. Compared to black HDPE piping materials, the yellow color also serves to further improve visibility and identification as a gas pipe, a highly desirable feature for installation and future proximate excavations.
Driscopipe® 8100 Series PE Piping
After 24 years of continuous production, the groundbreaking Driscopipe® 8100 Series has been discontinued and is no longer available to purchase. Consider BlackStripe® 8400 Series solid yellow HDPE as an alternative. Contact your regional Territory Sales Manager for more information.
