Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Carolyn J. Burke is senior vice president and chief financial officer at Chevron Phillips Chemical.
Burke previously served on the leadership team of publicly traded energy provider Dynegy Inc. Between 2011 and 2018, she held top management roles across several departments, including executive vice president for company strategy and administration, as well as for business operations and systems. Further, she also held the roles of chief integration officer and chief administrative officer.
Before Dynegy, Burke was global controller for JP Morgan Chase & Co.’s global commodities business and vice president and corporate controller at NRG Energy Inc. She also served as NRG’s executive director of planning and analysis. Earlier in her career, Burke held top financial roles at the University of Pennsylvania, Yale University and Atlantic Richfield Company, now British Petroleum.
With nearly three decades of experience in increasingly high-profile financial and strategic roles, Burke also serves as board director and member of the audit and conflicts committees at TerraForm Power, a publicly-traded renewable power company.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from Wellesley College and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and strategic planning from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
