Prior to Hurricane Ike’s landfall, all company operations in the Gulf of Mexico region activated hurricane preparedness plans. Below is a brief update on Chevron Phillips Chemical’s hurricane recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Ike’s devastating effects on the region.
Chevron Phillips Chemical’s Gulf Coast employees, communities and facilities have all suffered as a result of Hurricane Ike. We are presently focused on helping our employees and their families, assisting our communities, and safely resuming normal operations.
Employee teams are now working diligently with authorities and their neighbors to restore normalcy. Conditions are improving. The company’s facilities are assessing conditions to safely resume normal operations as soon as possible.
