  • K-ResinŽ SBC grade XK40, as shipped by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP, meets the specifications of the United States FDA Food Packaging Regulation 21 CFR 177.1640 (polystyrene and rubber modified polystyrene).  By virtue of this compliance, K-ResinŽ XK40 may be used as a component of articles for use in contact with food.  There are no regulatory food type or temperature restrictions on this resin, as defined under 21 CFR 176.170 (c).
