Chevron Phillips Chemical's Specialty Chemicals group offers a wide variety of products and capabilities in the area of custom manufacturing. A specific strength of our custom manufacturing effort is custom hydrogenation, which is backed by unparalleled service and support. Projects start with laboratory studies where initial work provides technical support by developing process conditions and insight to avoid scale up concerns. If the customer wishes, the process can then be scaled up in our newly modernized pilot plant where further process details are developed and multi-drum quantities can be produced for customer evaluation. 

Finally, projects are commercially produced at our Philtex Plant located in Borger, Texas, where we have a variety of reactors from 500 gallons to 4000 gallons in carbon steel, stainless steel and Hastalloy^® metallurgy with pressure ratings ranging up to 500 psig. Along with the reactors, the Philtex Plant offers a wide variety of support equipment such as distillation units, tankage, and filters to make the business flexible and successful.
