Gasoline

Injector fouling fuel is used to establish the ability of a fuel and detergent package to keep fuel injectors clean or to clean them up. Fuel manufacturers and additive companies dirty-up fuels to test and develop these additives.

65th percentile fuel is used to establish the ability of a fuel or and additive package to keep the intake valves of an engine clean or to clean them up.

J-reference fuel is used in ASTM VE engine oil classification tests and two-cycle lubricant tests.

GMR-995 reference fuel is used for the ASTM IID and IIIE engine oil classification tests.

Soltrol® 10 isoparaffin + TEL is used for the ASTM L 38 lubricant test.
