With improved elongation and impact properties, Xtel^® XE4050 PPS and Xtel^® XE5030 PPS also provide improved thermal cycling capability when compared to regular PPS materials.  These materials maintain PPS chemical resistance properties in most coolant and fuel system environments, typically making them a better alternative versus PPA and other nylon materials.  In addition, Xtel^® XE4050 PPS and Xtel^® XE5030 PPS alloys are inherently flame retardant and will attain the UL 94 rating of V-0.  They achieve this without the use of halogenated flame-retardants which may classify them as a “green material”.
