THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (May 15, 2008) – Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP’s (Chevron Phillips Chemical) new Marlex® polyethylene grades offer processors improved options for rotomolding applications. The new grades, TR935, TR938, TR942, and TR945, are newly enhanced members of the Marlex® polyethylene portfolio. The resins range in density and flow characteristics and feature a new additive blend complete with antioxidants and ultra-violet stabilizers.
“The release of these new grades gives rotomolders additional choices when selecting their materials,” said Joe Howlett, rotomolding product manager for Chevron Phillips Chemical. “With improved processability, color, and stability, these Marlex® polyethylene rotomolding resins will stand out from competitive resins.”
Typical applications for these grades include storage tanks, pier components, insulated carriers, and other applications where durability and appearance are key.
