THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (November 10, 2006) – Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (Chevron Phillips Chemical) was recently named one of “Houston’s Greatest” by the Greater Houston Partnership. The award is presented to ten for-profit corporations (five with greater than 250 employees and five with fewer than 250 employees) and honors regional leaders who have advanced the greater Houston region as a business magnet. Additionally, Chevron Phillips Chemical was presented the “People’s Choice” award, indicating that the company received the most votes from the community for Houston’s greatest company with more than 250 employees.
“Visionary leaders, both corporate and individual, have played an integral role in making this city the vibrant metropolis it has become,” said Sonia Perez, chair of Houston’s Greatest Committee. “This evening we’ve had the privilege of honoring the reasons why our economy continues to grow and expand.”
