Blow Molding

Blow molding is a process used for producing hollow plastic parts. Various methods of manufacturing exist in the blow molding industry, ranging from reciprocating screw blow molding machines to accumulator head machines. These machines are tailored to meet the customer's needs, whether it’s a milk bottle producer or an automotive fuel tank producer.

Likewise, Chevron Phillips Chemical produces application-specific plastics to create value for our molding customers. Our Marlex® materials are tailored for specific applications, depending on product performance requirements. Our polyethylene materials are leaders in the blow molding industry due to our excellent melt strength, processability and environmental stress crack resistance to stiffness ratio. All of these attributes are targeted toward improving our customers' manufacturing capabilities and effectiveness.

Our multiple technology platforms, combined with our innovative research and development team allow us to provide customers with a broad range of resins to meet the many unique needs of blow molding applications. Our world-class sales and marketing team and highly experienced technical support team can assist customers with resin selection, process optimization, and application development.
