Local media in Naples reported in the first week of May that Collier County utilities were rerouting drinking water to thousands of customers in East Naples while crews repaired a break in a new water main along Collier Boulevard.  The original pipeline was installed with fused PVC.  Media reports also say the latest failure follows two previous failures experienced during installation of the PVC pipeline. 

Bob Gajeske of Gajeske, Inc., the distributor providing the replacement pipe said, “We are happy to be able to quickly provide the replacement HDPE pipeline to minimize further impact to the community”.
