Drillpac® Polymer is a polyanionic cellulose that is available in both an ultra high-viscosity (HV) grade as well as a medium-viscosity (LV) grade in all of our locations throughout the world. Advantages of Drillpac® Polymer include:
- Works well at any salinity
- Controls fluid loss
- Reduces clay invasion
- Retards build-up of drilled solids
- Increases penetration rates
- Improves mud stability
- Promotes thin, slick, tough filter cake
- Reduces friction and frequency of differential sticking
- Increases resistance of clay muds to contamination
- Requires no preservative
- Is non-polluting and safe to use in all locations
- Emulsifies oil in water-based muds
- Increases carrying capacity

Cost
Mud cost for interval drilled can range from less to more, depending upon system comparisons. Total well cost for interval drilled is usually less. Mud Types
Water-based drilling muds, work over fluids and completion fluids of any salinity. Hardness below 500 ppm. Mixing Requirements
Mix slowly through conventional jet-type hopper
Desired Solids Control Equipment
Unweighted systems: rig shale shaker, desander and desilter. Weighted systems: fine screen shaker, centrifuge, and cleaner
