We are members of the Consultative Assembly of Member Companies (ACOM) for Conseil Européen de l’Industrie Chimique/European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) and are actively participating in various REACH implementation project work groups and consortia. Chevron Phillips Chemical will continue to communicate with customers and suppliers in an effort to provide necessary updates related to the pre-registration and/or registration process for substances.

What do we need from you?

At this time, we ask our downstream users, distributors, and suppliers to do the following:

Our Distributors: Although a distributor is not a downstream user, we are making every effort to assist our distributors in understanding their role in the REACH process. A distributor must communicate its customers’ (downstream users) intended use and exposure information. Otherwise, a downstream user’s intended use may be overlooked and commercialization will not be possible in the EU.

Our Suppliers: Chevron Phillips Chemical is requesting any information on the pre-registration of substances by companies up the supply chain. In addition, we request any updates on changes in the pre-registration, registration, or authorization of substances we purchase. Chevron Phillips Chemical is available to provide necessary information to fulfill its obligation as a downstream user.
