The award in the petrochemical manufacturing category went to the company’s Q-Chem joint venture facility, located in Messaieed, Qatar; the award for non-petrochemical manufacturing went to the Performance Pipe division’s Fairfield Plant, located in Fairfield, Iowa. Additionally, 20 facilities earned the company’s Harmony Environmental Award.

Chevron Phillips Chemical established the President’s Environmental Award in 2007 to honor facilities that demonstrate exemplary environmental performance. The award recognizes an exceptional demonstrated commitment to compliance, pollution prevention, sustainable environmental improvements, and superior environmental leadership.
