THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (April 27, 2009) – Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP’s (Chevron Phillips Chemical) Mining Chemicals division recently opened a new office and laboratory in Tucson, Arizona, to provide services to existing and potential mining customers. Centrally located to mines in the Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico areas, the Mining Chemicals office handles orders, customer service, in-house testing, and, as needed, offsite support.
“The new office and laboratory serve as a solution source for customers,” said Greg Collins, product manager for Mining Chemicals. “We offer everything from bench scale flotation services to optimize customers’ recovery processes of desired minerals to solvent extraction analysis using mine-specific conditions to help optimize results.”
The office and laboratory are managed by Lisa MacHue, agent for Chevron Phillips Chemical. With a solid background in the mining industry, Lisa provides technical expertise and practical assistance to customers worldwide. Lisa’s staff includes a chemist, lab technician, and supply chain manager.
“In addition to our technical service capabilities, we are actively involved in the design of new products for the mining industry,” said MacHue.
With over 60 years experience in the mining industry, Chevron Phillips Chemical’s Mining Chemicals product line includes traditional and developmental sulfur based collectors, high purity solvent extraction diluents, depressant chemistry, proprietary extender oils, frothers, and acid resistant coatings.
