    Reno, Nevada

The Reno plant was built in 1986.  The site was chosen in northern Nevada for its proximity to western markets. In the early 90’s, Chevron Chemical Company acquired Plexco from Amstead Industries. In 1992 the decision was made to decommission one wound line and start a conventional extrusion line.  As demand increased, two additional lines were added in 1993.

In 1995, the plant completed installation and start-up of a 54” line.  In 1997, a fifth line was added.  As a result of the Chevron Phillips Chemical joint venture, the Reno facility became a part of Performance Pipe in 2000. In 2002, the plant was expanded to its current capacity. The Reno facility is ISO 9001 certified.
