    The Brownwood plant was established by the Phillips Driscopipe Co. in 1963 to make blow molded products. It was later converted to a pipe extrusion plant.  In 1974, the facility made the first 36" polyethylene pipe. 

    On July 1, 2000, the Brownwood plant became a part of Performance Pipe, a division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, LP.  The facility is located on 30 acres of land in central Texas with 114,000 sq ft of manufacturing facility. It is approximately 90 miles south of Interstate 20, two hours west of Fort Worth, Texas. The Brownwood facility received its ISO 9001 certification in 1997.

    High density polyethylene DriscoPlex® - Gravity flow and pressure pipe systems designed for landfill, coal bed, natural gas gathering, underground gas distribution, pressure pipe systems, water and wastewater distribution pressure pipe systems, process piping, slurry and tailings lines in the mining industry, underground municipal, and industrial fire/water distribution systems throughout North America.
