Peggy Colsman

Vice President & Chief Information Officer, Information Technology

Peggy Colsman is Vice President of Chevron Phillips Chemical’s Information Technology department and is the company’s Chief Information Officer. She was named to this position on August 1, 2008, after serving as Manager, IT Strategy and Risk Management. Colsman joined Chevron Phillips Chemical in 2005 with 20 years of information technology experience.

Colsman began her career as a Programmer Analyst for Shell Oil Company in 1985 and held various information technology positions in applications and infrastructure. In 1994, she began working for Lyondell Chemical Company as a Business Analyst. She held several IT management positions before being named Global Project Manager, Systems and Technology Planning.

In 2000, Colsman joined Hanover Measurement Services Company LP as Director, IT and Acquisition Integration, where she was responsible for definition and execution of strategic goals for the IT department. In 2001, Colsman was named the company’s Vice President, Information Technology.

Colsman joined Chevron Phillips Chemical in 2005 as Manager, IT Strategy & Risk Management, and was responsible for managing IT strategy, security, compliance, contracts and budgets. In this role, Colsman also served as primary liaison to Chevron Phillips Chemical parent companies ConocoPhillips and Chevron Corporation, for information technology knowledge sharing and best practices.

Colsman received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Houston. She is a member of Women In Technology International (WITI) and throughout her career has received numerous awards for outstanding leadership and technical skills.
