Jim Telljohann

Vice President, Specialties

Jim Telljohann is vice president of Specialties for Chevron Phillips Chemical and leads the Specialty Chemicals and Drilling Specialties product lines in addition to Normal Alpha Olefins and Poly Alpha Olefins.

Telljohann began his career with PPG industries where he held several positions including operations engineer, environmental engineer and supply and logistics supervisor. In 1992, he joined Chevron Chemical as a business analyst specializing in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). Telljohann remained in that role until 1998 when he began working at Chevron’s Richmond chemical plant as a production supervisor and then as a product manager in San Ramon.

In 2000, when the Chevron Phillips Chemical joint venture was formed, he joined as the finance manager for Aromatics and Styrenics. Telljohann has held several leadership roles at Chevron Phillips Chemical including general manager of Aromatics and Styrenics; general manager of Global Business Development and vice president of Corporate Planning and Development.

Telljohann earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from The Ohio State University in 1981 and earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1986.
