Don Lycette

Senior Vice President, Research & Technology

Don Lycette is senior vice president of research & technology.

Lycette previously served as vice president of Environment, Health, Safety & Security, and prior to that, he was general manager of specialty chemicals. In 1980, he joined Chevron at its Richmond, California refinery working in plant engineering, project engineering, operations, planning and economics. Lycette held various positions within the company, including manufacturing coordinator, product specialist and sales representative. As the project general manager for the first Saudi project for Chevron, he worked on starting up and staffing the facility.

In 2004, Lycette moved to Qatar to serve as the general manager of Q-Chem, leading efforts on the Q-Chem II and RLOC projects. He moved to Houston as the general manager for specialty chemicals for Chevron Phillips Chemical in June of 2010 and served in that capacity until he was appointed vice president of EH&S.

Lycette graduated from Stanford University in 1980 with a bachelor of science in chemical engineering.
