Metallocene PE

Chevron Phillips Chemical LLC was founded on a rich history of invention and progress. Today, we continue to grow that legacy. By building on advancements made by our parent companies, Chevron Corporation and Phillips 66, we maintain a leading position with the same pioneering spirit. A manufacturing foundation built on many proprietary process, catalyst and polymer technologies and a strong ongoing commitment to research & development contribute to our continued growth and success.

Chevron Phillips Chemical’s metallocene LLDPE (mLLDPE) resins are produced using the renowned and proprietary MarTECH® loop slurry technology, which Phillips Petroleum Company introduced commercially in 1961. It is the worlds most licensed petrochemical process for the production of high density polyethylene. We expanded the manufacturing versatility and breadth of this proven process to introduce a unique family of mLLDPE products through the development and commercial deployment of an entirely novel catalyst system. This is a testament to our inventive culture, our commitment to R&D and our desire to further the industry by bringing leading-edge products to our customers and the marketplace.

Our success is driven by our people and their commitment to science. Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLCs Marlex® metallocene polyethylene products demonstrate outstanding, and the very best, optical properties compared to competitive mLLDPE resins. In addition to their distinguished optical properties, Marlex® mLLDPE resins offer excellent impact and puncture strengths and enhanced sealing characteristics. This unique combination of properties translates into superior performance in monoextruded, blended or coextruded films and applications for both processors and end-users.
