The Cedar Bayou facility in Baytown, Texas, is situated on 2,100 acres of land in the heart of the Houston Ship Channel region, 28 miles east of Houston. Only 42 percent of the property is devoted to petrochemical manufacturing; the remaining acres are used for special projects and greenspace that act as a natural buffer between the facility and the community.

Safety

Safety is at the heart of everything we do. At the Cedar Bayou facility, protecting our people, our neighbors and the environment is our highest priority. We are committed to operating responsibly and maintaining strong systems, training and a culture of care that supports safe, reliable operations.

Keeping our community safe

Process safety is central to protecting our employees, neighbors and the environment. At Cedar Bayou, we are committed to operating responsibly and maintaining the highest standards as we manufacture, handle, transport and dispose of our chemical products. This commitment extends beyond our facility. We actively encourage our customers, carriers, suppliers, distributors and contractors to uphold the same rigorous safety expectations. Together, we work to safeguard the well being of the communities where we live and operate.

Emergency response

The Cedar Bayou Emergency Response Team consists of highly trained and dedicated first responders for fire suppression, hazardous materials response and rescue operations. With roughly 100 responders across fire, hazmat, medical and rescue teams, supported by advanced equipment and ongoing training, the team plays a vital role in protecting people, operations and the community.

Community Involvement

At Cedar Bayou, being a good neighbor is part of who we are. We support community initiatives and encourage employee volunteerism in areas where we can make a meaningful, lasting impact, such as education and workforce development, health and safety, social enrichment and sustainability.
